ROCKY HORROR politics suck.
They Always Did.
They Always Will.

Unfortunately, they are a part of ROCKY HORROR.
It's hard to avoid them when you're performing ROCKY HORROR.
Everyone involved wants to put on The Best Show.
Only The Best Will Do For The Cast And The Show.

But NO Cast, Performer, Or Performance Is More Important Than "THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW".
Ever.

But let's face it...you just can't stand some people in life.
And they can't stand you, either.
So both sides do their best to mutually exclude each other.
Egos are bruised, and loyalties are tested.

I'll say this much about my own experiences with ROCKY HORROR politics.
You do find out who your friends are.

Some of it was worth it.
Some of it I regret.
Some of it was honest.
Some of it was deceitful.
Some of it taught me how to stand up for myself.
Some of it taught me humility.
Some of it was easy...it's fun to be mean when you're young.
Some of it was not....especially when it's your turn.
Some of it made me life-long friends.
Some of it made me life-long enemies.
Some of it was necessary.
Some of it was cruel and un-called for.
Some of it was love.
Some of it was hate.
Some of it was gentle, innocent, kind, and well-meaning.
Some of it was cold, calculated, vicious, and brutal.
Some of it was sweet deception.
Some of it was bitter reality.
Some of it was done face-to-face.
Some of it was done behind your back.
Some of it was loyalty.
Some of it was betrayal.
Some of it was brilliantly executed.
Some of it backfired.
Some of it was right.
Some of it was wrong.
Some of it made me look stupid.
Some of it made me a star.

"Perhaps it was for the best."
